NoteGarden Privacy Policy

NoteGarden is a personal daily journal for writing entries, attaching photos, and tracking your mood. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information related to those features. In short: your content stays on your device and in your own private iCloud — we do not collect it.
What You Create Stays With You
Your journal entries, photos, tags, and moods are stored on your device. NoteGarden does not require an account and does not send your content to our servers.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you turn on iCloud Sync, your entries and photos are stored in your private iCloud account and synced only to the devices signed in to your Apple ID. This data is handled by Apple’s iCloud service and is not accessible to the developer. You can turn sync off at any time in the app’s settings.
Photos
NoteGarden requests access to your photo library only so you can add photos to your entries. Selected photos are stored within the app’s own storage on your device (and in your iCloud if sync is enabled).
Backup & Restore
The file backup feature lets you export your entries and photos to a single file that you control, and import a backup file that you choose. This export and import happens on your device; the resulting file is shared or stored only where you decide.
App Lock
If you enable App Lock, authentication uses Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode through Apple’s system frameworks. NoteGarden does not collect or store your biometric data.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, they are used only for optional daily journaling reminders and backup reminders. They are scheduled on your device.
Analytics, Ads, and Tracking
NoteGarden does not include advertising, does not use third-party analytics or tracking, and does not sell your personal information.
Purchases
NoteGarden is a paid app. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store, not by NoteGarden.
Data Sharing
When you use the system share sheet to share an entry, a photo, or a backup file, the selected content is handled according to the destination app or service you choose.
Children’s Privacy
NoteGarden is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
