Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the MellowTask app for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS provided by Nicechann Studio.

1. General principles

MellowTask does not require you to create an account operated by Nicechann Studio. Tasks, groups, notes, checklists, and settings you create are stored on your device by default.

2. Data you create

Data created in the app may include task titles, notes, groups, tags, due dates, reminders, repeating schedules, checklists, and completion history.

  • This data is used to provide MellowTask’s task-management features.
  • It is not sent to a separate account server operated by Nicechann Studio.
  • You can delete individual items in the app or remove the app’s local data.

3. iCloud synchronization

If you use iCloud synchronization, task data may be processed through Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure so it can be synchronized across devices signed in to the same Apple ID. Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply to data processed through iCloud.

4. Apple Reminders integration

When you explicitly grant permission and enable the feature, MellowTask accesses reminder data only to synchronize tasks with Apple Reminders. You can change or withdraw this permission in your device’s system settings.

5. Advertising and consent management

The free version may display ads provided by Google AdMob. During ad delivery, Google or its advertising partners may process information such as:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Device and app information
  • Ad impressions, clicks, and interaction information
  • Crash, performance, and diagnostic information

The specific processing of this information is governed by Google’s policies. Where required, MellowTask may use Google User Messaging Platform to present advertising privacy choices.

As of the effective date, MellowTask does not request Apple’s AppTrackingTransparency permission. Available advertising privacy choices may vary by region and advertising configuration.

6. In-app purchases

The one-time Pro purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Nicechann Studio does not directly collect or store your credit-card or payment-method information.

7. Retention and deletion

  • Data stored on your device may remain until you delete it in the app or remove the app’s data.
  • iCloud data is retained or deleted according to your iCloud settings and deletion actions performed in MellowTask.
  • Data processed by advertising partners is retained according to each partner’s policy.

8. Security

MellowTask uses platform features such as Apple’s app sandbox, App Groups, iCloud, and system permission controls. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when app features, applicable requirements, or external services change. The effective date on this page will be updated when material changes are made.
