Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I import photos or videos?
Check MellowCut’s Photos permission in iPhone Settings. Download media stored only in iCloud to your device and try again. You can also import media from Files.
How do I change photo duration and clip order?
Photos are added as three-second clips by default. Select a clip in the timeline and drag its handles to change its duration. When creating a project, touch and hold an item in the selection tray and drag it to change the import order.
Why isn’t recording or the camera working?
Allow Microphone or Camera access for MellowCut in iPhone Settings. When recording in Voice, the original video audio is muted during recording.
How do I add background music?
In Music, choose an m4a, mp3, wav, or aac file from Files, or extract audio from a project video. Protected Apple Music tracks cannot be used.
Why are automatic captions unavailable?
Automatic captions use Apple’s on-device speech recognition. Your device and language must support on-device recognition. Allow Speech Recognition permission when prompted.
What should I do if export fails?
Check that your device has enough free storage, keep the app open, and try exporting again. If it still fails, send us the movie duration, export settings, and error message.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Sign in with the Apple Account used for your purchase, then select Restore Purchases in the app’s settings. MellowCut Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription.
How do I delete projects and free up storage?
Delete projects in Media Storage in the app’s settings. Deleting a project also deletes the media stored with it, so export any movies you want to keep first.

Create a project, select and import your media, then edit with Cut, Text, Music, Voice, Filter, and Canvas. Open the usage guide or guided tutorial in the app’s settings for a walkthrough.
